Chuhar Valley
Chuhar Valley is located in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district.
This valley includes Barot and Jhatingri hamlet and Hurang Narayan temple, two of the region’s primary attractions. Another significant feature of this location is the Mandi Shivratri International Festival, held every year by the valley residents.
Uhl River
The Uhl River, which originates at the Thamsar Glacier in the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas, is the valley’s only natural water source. It is a key draw for visitors to the region since it allows them to participate in various outdoor activities such as camping and fishing.
Shanan Hydel project
The Shanan Hydel project was the driving force for the development of the Barot Valley. It was India’s first megawatt-scale hydroelectric plant. It was built by the British with the help of the monarch of Jogindernagar and is currently managed by the Punjab State Electricity Board.
Barot temple
A shrine dedicated to the local god known as Dev Pashakot is located on the banks of the Uhl river. Because the temple lies at the foot of a hill, it requires a 15-minute downward journey to reach there.

Airport-Kullu airport is the closest airport to Barot.
Train– If you want to come by train, Jogindernagar railway station is the closest train station to reach here.
Cab or taxi-You may easily take a cab or taxi from Delhi or Chandigarh and drive directly to Barot, which is not the case while using the bus. You can go to Barot by vehicle from Delhi, it will take around 13-14 hours.

Trekking:
A variety of walking paths cross through Barot Valley, making it a popular destination for hikers. Treks to Bada Bhangal, Kullu, Manali, Billing, and Kothi are among these hiking paths.
The best trail in Barot Valley is the 13-kilometer Barot to Kothi walk, which passes through Cedar and pine tree woods with such calm settings that tourists forget about life’s difficulties and see the genuine beauty of nature.

Camping in the Barot Valley is another popular outdoor activity for visitors. The Thandi Golai camping site is located 1.5 kilometres from Barot’s main market. Trout Fishing
Fishing for trout is the most popular pastime in Barot Valley, attracting a huge number of fishermen. To participate in this activity, one must first obtain permission from the Trout farm office.
